Eight Grade Student Ceylan Milor Wins First Place in GISA Spelling Bee

On Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Atlanta Academy, 45 of GISA's best spellers competed for the title of GISA Spelling Bee Champion. After the Round 2 written competition, the Top 20 Spellers then advanced to Round 3 to compete in the Oral Competition. After 18 rounds, Ceylan Milor emerged the winner in first place. She will now advance to represent GISA at the GAE State Spelling Bee on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Zoo Atlanta. Ceylan's winning word in Round 18 was "iridescent".
